What Makes this the Best Skin Clearing Juice?
Carrots for Glowing Skin
Carrots are full of beneficial beta-carotene which is then converted to vitamin A. Vitamin A is so important and needed to maintain skin health and production. It’s the main ingredient in retinol creams. Carotenoids in carrots act as powerful antioxidants which account for their anti-aging and wrinkle-fighting properties. Carrots also help prevent macular degeneration and vision loss not only due to its vitamin A content but also because it provides lutein.
Skin Benefits of Bell Peppers
Red bell peppers in particular contain much more beta-carotene and vitamin C than green bell peppers. About 11 times and 1.5 more, respectively. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant and luckily red bell peppers are one of the best food sources. One large red bell pepper contains 209.4 mg, or 279% RDA when eaten raw. It’s also a great source of vitamin B6 or pyridoxine which contributes to the formation of red blood cells and healthy circulation.
Ginger for Skin Circulation
Ginger is a zingy spicy root and that in itself is enough to get your blood flowing! The vasodilating properties of ginger stimulate blood circulation allowing the delivery of nutrients and antioxidants to your skin and the removal of waste. Ginger is also one of the most potent anti-inflammatory foods due to the presence of gingerol, shogaol, and other antioxidant compounds.
Lemon Benefits for Skin
Lemons are a great source of Vitamin C which acts as a detoxifying antioxidant. Ingesting lemons stimulates the liver to produce bile which helps emulsify fat-soluble toxins. Lemons can also help break down kidney stones allowing the body to filter out and remove waste from the body.

How to Make this Skin Clearing Juice
How to Make Juice with a Blender
If you don’t have a juicer, you’re in luck. You can use a blender and a nut milk bag like this one. Simply blend all the ingredients on high for 1 minute. Pour the mixture into a nut milk bag and strain the juice over a bowl.
How to Make Juice with a Juicer
Wash and cut your vegetables. The vegetables need to be small enough to fit into the feed chute of your juicer. You can leave the skins on for all ingredients except the lemon. Cut off the lemon skin. You can leave some of the white pith underneath the skin.
Run the vegetables through the juicer and transfer the juice to a glass container and enjoy!

How to Juice in Bulk for Meal Prep
Drinking juice immediately after making is best. The juice will have undergone the least amount of oxidation and will contain the most amount of nutrients. If you have a busy schedule or want to reduce the amount of clean-up, you can opt to juice in bulk.
- Ziploc Bags: portion out and transfer the juice.
- Remove Air: dip the opened bags and slowly submerge until all air is removed. Seal the bags.
- Wipe Dry: remove excess water from outside of bags.
- Lay Flat: place bags flat on a baking sheet.
- Freeze: for 1-2 hours until the juice is frozen. Remove from tray and store in freezer.
Removing the air from the Ziploc bags will prevent further oxidation and nutrient loss. Simply thaw the juice in the fridge when ready to enjoy. Avoid re-freezing after the juice has been thawed.

How to Store/Freeze Freshly Made Juice?
Store your fresh juice in glass containers, filling all the way to the very top to reduce the amount of oxygen present. This will reduce oxidation. Juice can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Freeze fresh juice for up to 2 months. Enjoy your juice as soon as possible. The enzymes present will break down the juice after a few months which will result in loss of quality and nutrients.
Save Your Juice Pulp for Other Recipes!
Carrots produce some of the best juice pulps to easily incorporate into other dishes. Simply juice the carrots by themselves and separate the pulp before juicing the other ingredients.
